Announcing a new jescar fretwire size by popular demand
We are pleased to introduce a
new fret style to our line of precision manufactured fret wire. Our FW50085 fretwire was designed to fill the gap between the narrow and wide frets in our line. With its 0.085" width, you can now select a wire that is wider than our acoustic and vintage electric sizes, but narrower than our FW55090 wire. With a height of 0.050" there is enough material for leveling or CNC fret milling. The new FW50085 is available in 18% nickel silver, and is produced in coils of approximately 19" diameter.
JESCAR: NEW DIMENSIONS IN FRETWIRE
It is fair to say that anyone involved with the guitar is passionate
about the instrument. From players to luthiers, set-up and
repair techs to retailers, our love of the instrument has kept us
close to the guitar.
We appreciate the beauty of the guitar
from the moment we see one in a music store, played by one of our
heroes, or just sitting idle in a case. We are moved by its
tone, its power, the subtle dynamics and harmonic complexities, always
striving for that elusive perfect ideal of great tone contained within
our message of song.
For most of us, one perfect guitar is
never enough and our collections grow to include many, each one
with its own special character and feel. It is the intimate connection
between the strings and our hands, the body of the guitar against
our own bodies more so than with any other instrument, that bonds
us physically and emotionally to the guitar.
This connection between guitar and guitarist takes place at a critical
contact point – the fingerboard, and more specifically the
fret.
Securely pressed and seated into the fingerboard, the fret wire is the gateway
between the player and the instrument. It is one of the most
critical components in the playing quality of the guitar. The
interaction between the strings and frets determines the feel of
the neck as much as the neck contour, fingerboard material, or finish.
Jescar understands the needs of the builder as well as the player
and has developed our fret wire to exceed the long accepted industry
quality standard. Now you have the choice of a fret wire that
matches the quality of your instrument and enhances the state of
your art.
